High School Social Studies teacher Carrie Martin is the Maine-Endwell Teachers' Association/Liberty Mutual Teacher of the Month for February.
“Students within her classroom feel embraced, welcomed, and successful,” say Bob Graves and Laura Stickler, who nominated her.
“Students move beyond just simply taking notes or using a textbook…with Mrs. Martin they create projects, booklets, and visuals. This allows students of various ability levels to shine and experience the success that they deserve,” say Stickler and Graves.

“She is the epitome of collaboration with teachers throughout the building, especially the resource room teachers who work with her so closely to ensure the success of her students,” say Graves and Stickler. “Mrs. Martin consistently communicates and goes above and beyond to ensure that the teachers are in the loop and involved in the events of her classroom, in return ensuring the success of her students.”
Each month META and Liberty Mutual honor excellence in teaching within our district with the Teacher of the Month award.
